Intuitive Eating is about ditching all your restrictive beliefs and rules around food, letting go of the diet mentality that is so engrained in our lives today and instead, rediscover how to tune into our internal hunger and fullness cues, develop greater introspective awareness and enjoy our food without being consumed by strict ‘rules’, counting calories or feeding that negative mind-set around food & body image.
WILL INTUITIVE EATING HELP ME TO LOSE WEIGHT?
I strongly encourage you to put your weight loss goals to one side if you’re wanting to eat more intuitively. This is NOT a new diet – remember it’s a NON-DIET – and it’s about learning to love your body for it’s unique shape and size and instead find a weight that is healthies for you, your mind and your body. It may be challenging at first to let go of your belief systems around your weight, but hopefully over time, you’ll be able to get to a place where your decisions around food no longer consume your mind & your beliefs around your body no longer dictate how you live your life.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Sessions are held on a weekly basis over Skype or in person (depending on your location). This isn’t a quick fix – there are hundreds of beliefs & rules you have created around food throughout your life and the Intuitive Eating process looks at unpacking all of those beliefs and reorganising them in a much healthier and more sustainable way.
