You’re never going to be 100% ready and it’s never going to be just the right time, but that’s the point. It means that every moment is also the right moment. If you want it, you just have to do it.

Over the last couple of podcast episodes, I’ve talked mainly about goals and what you need in order to make them a success and ultimately achieve what you set out to do!

This is the 3rd and final ingredient in that mix:

YOUR ACTIONS

Here’s the simplicity of it:

Unless you get out there and actually DO something, you will never accomplish what you desire.

You need to do something and take action if you want something to happen for you. Unless you take appropriate and consistent actions towards your goals, they will never happen for you.

I know it’s a lot easier said than done and in this episode I go through barriers and how it’s important to overcome them in order to move on and take that first step. They say that the first step is always the hardest and in some ways that is so true – but it’s also the most powerful! That first step is what’s needed to give you that push towards completing what you set out to do and it becomes the driving force behind accomplishing you end result.

Fear is a huge barrier when it comes to taking that first step.

Fear of failing, of making mistakes, of not being good enough, of being judged – there are so many fears that come with starting something new, or retrying something you didn’t quite achieve before. Sometimes that fear can be crippling – trust me I know! (been there, done that!) I’m not saying that fear is a bad thing or that you shouldn’t be feeling it. You need to acknowledge it’s there and then work through it. Give yourself the time, space and love to work through your fear. Ask yourself why it’s presenting itself to you. Ask yourself what you need in order to heal and move on.

As scary as taking that first step it, we would never achieve anything in life unless we started at the beginning.

It’s ok to make mistakes, it’s ok that it’s not perfect (is there such thing as perfect anyway?), it’s ok if you don’t succeed. No one is judging you apart from yourself – and trust me, you’ll only start judging yourself if you don’t give it a try!

Like the quote says, there is never a right time to do something – if you want to do it then it’s as simple as that –

DO IT!

I love the freedom that comes with saying ‘there’s never a right time to start something’ because it means that every single moment of your life is the opportunity to start something. You don’t have to wait for tomorrow, or next week, or even next year! You can take actions and small steps towards your goal right this moment, right now!

So here’s what I want you to do:

  • Think about the goal you’re wanting to achieve. It can be big or something small.
  • Free up 10 minutes right here, right now, right this moment.
  • Spend that 10 minutes doing something small that will take you closer to your dream, intention, goal – whatever it is that you’re working towards.
  • Ask yourself: How do I feel knowing that I’ve taken action towards what I’ve been dreaming of?

THOUGHTS are like the SEED.

CHOICES are what help that seed to GROW and DEVELOP.

ACTIONS are what will make the seed BLOSSOM and CREATE SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL.
