This week I wanted to share another recipe for a sweet treat with you. Eating ‘healthfully’ should also mean allowing yourself to indulge in those sweet treats every now and again and I am always working on creating healthier versions of all those goodies we love to eat!

These are BOUNTY BLISS BALLS – they taste just like bounty chocolate (personally, I think they're even better!) but are vegan, gluten free, refined sugar free and super yummy! They don’t taste like ‘clean food’ and you won’t even miss the chocolate bar they are THAT good. Plus, they only need 4 ingredients to make them so really simple to make!

Ingredients:

  • 100g pitted dates
  • 30g desiccated coconut
  • 25g coconut oil (melted)
  • 70g cashew nuts

How to make them:

  1. If you like your bliss balls really smooth then start off by blitzing the cashew nuts in a food processor until fine.
  2. After that it’s simple, put the rest of the ingredients in the food processor and blitz away.
  3. The mix should form a ball that you can easily mould treat size bites from.
  4. I managed to get 8 balls out of this recipe but how many you get totally depends on how big you like your treats!
  5. Then it’s time to decorate them. I rolled them in a bit of desiccated coconut just to finish them off and make them look pretty but this step is entirely optional and up to you!
